Resolution Award for Women in Combat

Women combat veterans to be recognized with House resolution 

HARRISBURG, Feb. 5 – On Tuesday, Feb. 10, state Rep. Jim Haddock will present a copy of his H.R. 354 recognizing women combat veterans to retired Sgt. Maj. Claudette Williams, CEO/president of the Women Veterans Museum in Mt. Pocono.

Haddock will be joined by Monroe County Reps. Maureen Madden and Tarah Probst.

The event will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10 at the Women Veterans Museum, 29 Sterling Road, Mt. Pocono.

The museum is the only one of its kind in the country honoring women veterans.

The state House of Representatives adopted H.R. 354 in November to recognize Dec. 3 as the 10th anniversary of Women in Combat Day.
